Sprint's instinct with this phone, which came out June 20, is to compare it directly to the iPhone at Sprint's Web site, http://www.nowisgood.com. Initially, Spring promoted a "See Instinct defeat iPhone" campaign, and it was clear the gloves were off. The Instinct was awarded "Most Innovative Product" at CTIA-The Wireless Association's annual conference in April. Among the phone's features: "Visual Voicemail," which lets users listen to messages in the order they want to hear them. The Instinct is a 3G, or third-generation, device which means it should provide faster Web surfing and e-mail access. It has a 3.1-inch screen, and weighs 4.4 ounces. The phone, originally set to cost around $300, is $129.99 after rebates. Sprint lowered the price in order to better compete with AT&T's pricing on the iPhone, which is $199
